Electrodes placement: The patient lies down and specific areas of their skin are cleaned to improve electrode adhesion. Typically, 10 adhesive electrodes are placed on the patient's chest, limbs, and sometimes the lower part of the ribcage. These electrodes are connected to the ECG machine via wires. Signal acquisition: The ECG machine records the electrical signals produced by the heart's electrical activity.
